Sea Pines Beaches

Sea Pines is home to 5 miles of sandy beaches. Access points to the beach range along North and South Sea Pines Drive. These access points known as "beachwalks" are designed for resident pedestrian access to the beach. There are 2 beach reastricted access parking lots in Sea Pines, Tower Beach and the Sea Pines Beach Club.

Tower Beach - Property Owner Beach

The Tower Beach facility is designated for property owner use only. Security Staff is posted to control admittance from Memorial Day through Labor Day as well as high traffic times. In addition to convenient beach access, Tower Beach has picnic areas and a beachside pavilion. The facilities can not be reserved, but requests for scheduling are made via the Security Office and the sponsoring property owner must be in attendance. All users will be responsible for policing and cleaning the area after each use.

Sea Pines Beach Club

The Sea Pines Beach Club is located on North Sea Pines Drive. The Beach Club has several amenities including food and bar service, a small store and restrooms. During the busy season (Memorial Day to Labor Day and high traffic times) parking is controlled by Security Staff. The parking area is limited to property owners and guests staying in Sea Pines. Security Guards are also posted at the Beach Club during this time. There is a trolley that runs throughout the day from the beach parking lot to Harbour Town, with stops along Lighthouse Road.

Beach Rules and Regulations

All beaches are patrolled. Violators of beach regulations are subject to fines up to $500 per each offense.

The following are PROHIBITED on all beaches:

Alcoholic liquor, beer, wine
Glass (bottles, containers, etc.)
Littering
Indecent exposure (nudity)
Disorderly conduct
Disturbing the peace
Unauthorized vehicles
Fires and Fireworks
Shark Fishing
Removal, harming , or harassment of any live beach fauna (sea turtles, sand dollars, conchs, starfish, etc.)
Removal, alteration, or damage to dunes, sea oats, or other dune flora
Operation, launching, or landing of unauthorized motorized watercraft
Unauthorized commercial activity
Sleeping on the beach between midnight and 6 a.m.
Unauthorized wearing of lifeguard emblems, insignias, etc.
Solicitation or distribution of handouts
Kites not under manual control
Stunt kites 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. April 1 through September 30
Sand-sailing
For the added protection of sunbathers and swimmers, the following activities are prohibited in Designated Swimming Areas between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 1 through September 30:

Fishing or surfcasting
Surfboards, boogie boards, etc.
Frisbees or other team sports involving a ball
Games with metal components


Animals on the Beach
Are not permitted - Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day
Must be on a leash
- Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 1 through Thursday before Memorial Day
- Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday after Labor Day through September 30
Must be on leash or under positive voice control at all other times.
Persons in control of animals on the beach are required to remove and properly dispose of the animal's excrement.
